Environmental specialist continues expansion with new graduate appointment
Geo-environmental consultancy Roberts Environmental has appointed Emily Broughton as graduate consultant to help the firm service its growing client base.
Emily graduated from Northumbria University in 2016 with a BSc in Geography and Environmental Management and then went on to complete an MSc in Environmental Engineering at Newcastle University.
Emily was offered a full time job with Roberts Environmental following a work experience placement with the firm. Her new role will involve completing phase I environmental reports, due diligence reports, phase II site investigations and coal mining risk assessments.
Founded by Jeff Roberts in 2012, the firm provides environmental advice and solutions for developers, investors and banks from its offices in Newcastle and London.
Commenting on her appointment, Emily said: “I was particularly keen to work with a firm specialising in contaminated land and site investigation and after a short work placement with Roberts Environmental I was delighted to be offered a permanent post. I am joining the firm at a very exciting time of growth and look forward to working on projects throughout the country.”
Emily’s appointment follows the promotion of Ellie Curry from graduate consultant to consultant and also the appointments of Chris Johnson and Chris Armstrong who both joined the firm as geotechnical engineers last year.
Jeff Roberts, managing director added: “Emily will be a great addition to our team and we are very pleased she has now joined us on a permanent basis. She will be able to help us in a number of areas and as a firm we can give her a good range of experience to set her up well for her career.’
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
- Hello, this is an off
- Hello my name
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
