Roberts Environmental set to expand after series of high profile instructions
A Newcastle-based geo-environmental consultancy has announced ambitious expansion plans after securing a series of high profile instructions.
Roberts Environmental, which provides environmental advice and solutions for developers, investors and banks, recently celebrated its five year anniversary with further expansion of its professional team.
Founded by Jeff Roberts in 2012, the firm which is based on Grey Street in Newcastle has grown to a team of six following the appointment of Ellie Curry.
Roberts Environmental is now targeting further expansion with plans to double its workforce and relocate to larger offices in Newcastle by 2020.
In 2016 the firm secured a number of high profile instructions including site investigations for Lidl, who have developed a number of new stores across the region. Acting on behalf of Northumberland County Council, Roberts Environmental carried out site investigation and risk assessment work on the County Hall site in Morpeth prior to the marketing of the site. The firm has also provided geo-technical services for CBRE Global Investors in relation to the Arnison Shopping Centre in Durham.
Jeff Roberts, managing director commented: “I am very pleased that over the last five years we have developed a fantastic client-base with the likes of Columbia Threadneedle, Gentoo Group and Gleeson Homes. With a really strong professional team in place we are able to provide a wide range of environmental services in relation to issues such contaminated land, flood risk and coal mine assessments. From our clients’ perspective the appetite for development is currently better than at any time since we started the business so we are positive about the outlook.”
Roberts has recently secured a raft of new instructions including consultancy advice for Auckland Castle Trust, site investigation work at Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate on behalf of UK Land Estates and a new instruction on the south coast.
Mike Hay, director at Roberts Environmental added: “Whilst the majority of our work is carried out here in the North East, we also undertake work across the UK. Our latest instruction is in Hampshire where we have been appointed by Marick who are developing industrial units in Fareham. Our clients value the commercial solutions we provide in response to environmental issues, which ultimately can enable them to progress with development plans.”
What’s a Rich Text element?
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
- Hello, this is an off
- Hello my name
How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
